- Ricoh Europe B.V., Prof. W.H. Keesomlaan 1, P.O. Box 114, 1180 AC Amstelveen, The Netherlands (“Ricoh”) has developed the Ricoh Developer Program™ (RiDP™) website.
- The above-mentioned website includes a public area and a private area. The latter is accessible to registered members only (hereinafter “the Member Area”).
- The Member Area is accessible to RiDP™ members, i.e. users who registered on the RiDP™ web site and were accepted by Ricoh to participate in the Program.
- On the Member Area you can access detailed information about development tools, download these development tools, submit technical support incidents, buy extra RiDP™ services, etc. Access to information, tools, support or any other RiDP™ offer differs according to the membership level of the user.
- Ricoh recognizes the importance of the protection of personal data. Ricoh promises to respect your privacy and process your personal data in a careful and confidential manner. The data will not be processed for other purposes than the purposes specified in this Privacy Statement. All data processing shall be in accordance with this Privacy Statement and the applicable laws.
Why does Ricoh process your data?
- To be able to: understand your development and commercial needs and objectives, or forward to you commercial opportunities that may arise from Ricoh customers, or invite you to participate in RiDP™ related marketing activities (e.g. exhibitions or seminars), or reply to your technical support questions.
- To provide you with: updates on development tools and relevant Ricoh products, or new information regarding RiDP™ offers and rules.
- To be able to contact you, for instance providing you with: the RiDP™ agreements that in most cases need to be physically signed before you are accepted as a RiDP™ member, or the invoices for the RiDP™ products or services you purchase at the Member Area.
- To be able to monitor and improve the services Ricoh provides through the Member Area.
What data does Ricoh process?
The Member Area is accessible only to RiDP™ members. In order to provide you with an account and to be able to identify you, Ricoh asks you for the information comprised in the RiDP™ Signup Form, namely personal details, company data and development information. Furthermore, downloads are monitored to improve the system. Suggestions or questions are stored. Log-on information is also stored for security purposes.
Who has access to your data?
Only Ricoh and its Group Companies (NRG and Lanier) have access to the data collected through the Member Area.
Does Ricoh transfer your data to others?
Your personal data is not submitted, disclosed or transferred to any third party outside the Ricoh Group. However, please note that on the Member Area there are hyperlinks to external third party websites, such as for instance the online payment service provider’s website. If you click on such hyperlinks you are transferred to such third party websites and any personal data that you disclose there will be stored on these third parties’ servers. This privacy statement is not applicable to processing of your data on such third party websites.
Does Ricoh use your data for Direct Marketing?
Ricoh does not use your personal data to send you any unsolicited mail regarding commercial offers or advertisements, unless these are directly related to RiDP. Nor does Ricoh sell your data.
Does Ricoh use cookies on the Member Area?
Only session based cookies are used on the Member Area. These cookies will be deleted once you end your current Internet session. Ricoh uses cookies for security reasons. You are not obliged to accept cookies, however if you choose not to accept these cookies the Member Area will not be accessible anymore.
Where is your data stored?
Ricoh stores the data on servers located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. These servers are owned by a processor that has agreed with Ricoh to respect the applicable privacy laws.
Is your data safe with Ricoh?
Ricoh has an adequate and up-to-date security system to protect your personal data. Ricoh uses a double firewall and a proxy server to ensure that no unauthorized access to the data can take place. In order to enter the Member Area you have to log in with your personal user-id and password.
What are your rights with regards to the data?
You are not obliged to provide Ricoh with the requested data but if you do not agree to the collection of your data unfortunately Ricoh will not be able to give you access to the Member Area nor to answer your questions or suggestions. You have the right to request Ricoh to inform you if and what personal data relating to you Ricoh has processed. You may also request Ricoh to correct, supplement, block or delete said data totally or partially in the event that it is factually inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant to the purpose of the processing. You can also change your personal information yourself by clicking on the Edit Profile page at the Member Area. You may object to your data being processed or to the purpose of processing. Ricoh will undertake to comply with such requests in a timely manner. You can withdraw your declaration of consent to process your data at any time. In case you wish to withdraw your declared consent and, thus, terminate the processing of your personal data by Ricoh, a letter or an e-mail will be sufficient. This will however imply the termination of your contract with Ricoh.
Upon termination of your relationship with Ricoh your data will be deleted. If your participation in the Ricoh Developer Program ends for whatever reason, Ricoh shall also delete your data.
