Ricoh Worldwide

Ricoh operates all over the world. Its activities are focused on five main areas: the domestic market in Japan; Europe (including the Middle East and Africa); North, Central and South America; China; and Asia and Oceania.

In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2005, Ricoh's worldwide sales increased by 1.9% totaling ¥ 1,814.1 billion (€ 13.4 billion). The company reports growth for the 11th consecutive year. For the 13th year in succession net income surged. Ricoh's commitment to the customer is clear: over 20 research and development centres, almost 6,341 patents in 2003 alone and an investment of 9.2% of non-consolidated net sales of 2003 into R&D.

Ricoh in Europe, Middle East and Africa

Ricoh Europe B.V. (RE) located the Netherlands, is the regional Ricoh headquarters and a subsidiary of Ricoh Company Ltd. RE co-ordinates and supports the operations of its European subsidiaries and distributors. It also oversees research and development, marketing and sales in the Middle East and Africa region. Within the company's localisation policy it is of vital importance to be recognisably present in local markets. That is one of the main reasons why Ricoh is represented in so many countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In the countries where there is no own Ricoh operation, Ricoh Europe is represented by distributors.

About the Ricoh Group
