1) What is the Ricoh Developer Program?

The Ricoh Developer Program™ offers all the tools, support and services needed for third party Developers to integrate their solution products with hardware and software from the brands: Ricoh, Lanier, Nashuatec, Gestetner and Rex Rotary.


2) What is the goal of the Ricoh Developer Program™?

Ricoh understands that in today’s fast-paced business environment, preparing your products for market - in a timely, cost effective manner - is paramount to achieving success. Our goal is to help facilitate that process with a flexible, affordable and accessible Developer Program that enables Developers to create customized solutions tailored to meet specific customer needs.


3) Who is Ricoh targeting for participation in the Developer Program?

Ricoh is targeting Independent Software Vendors, Systems Integrators, Value-added Resellers, and Companies with in-house developers.


4) What are the benefits of participation in the Ricoh Developer Program™?

Participation in the Ricoh Developer Program™ affords Developers the opportunity to profit from: 

  • Access to advanced development tools 
  • Technical support from the RiDP™ engineering team 
  • A set of services to facilitate development, such as training, usage of compatibility lab or SDK beta versions 
  • A series of marketing benefits 
  • Leveraging the access to the Ricoh Group sales and distribution networks to create selling opportunities for their products 
  • Customizing solutions that enhance and maintain customer satisfaction/loyalty 
  • Using open-standard technologies to build high-level solutions            


5) Are the SDKs offered through the Ricoh Developer Program™ compatible with other Ricoh Group brands?

Yes. This program supports Ricoh, Lanier, Nashuatec, Gestetner and Rex Rotary hardware products.


6) How does the Ricoh Developer Program™ work?

The Ricoh Developer Program™ offers the following three levels of membership: 

Basic Membershipfree
Premier Membership480 Euros in the first year and 450 Euros of annual renewal fee (prices exclude VAT)
Premier Plus Membership3.500 Euros in the first year and 3.000 Euros of annual renewal fee (prices exclude VAT)


 

 



This three-tier membership model is designed to meet diverse development needs by offering differentiated access to development tools, technical support and marketing benefits.


7) What does Basic Membership offer?

Basic Membership is the entry-level of Ricoh Developer Program™ and offers the following: 

  • Industry standard PCL, PostScript Level 3™ and PJL code 
  • Standard and proprietary MIB specifications 
  • Access to RiDP™ Technical Q&A Database
  • 2 support incidents by e-mail 
  • Automatic notification of development tool updates 
  • Posting the member company logo at the RiDP public home page (by invitation) 
  • Posting member's solution information at the RiDP online catalogue (by invitation)            


8) What does Premier Membership offer?

Premier Membership provides more advanced tools, namely Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and extended technical e-mail support. Premier Membership offers the following: 

  • Industry Standard PCL, PostScript Level 3 and PJL code 
  • Standard and Proprietary Management Information Base (MIB) Specifications 
  • Refined Printing Command Stream (RPCS) Printer Driver API 
  • PC-Fax Driver API 
  • SmartDeviceMonitor - Printer Management Software - API 
  • Access to RiDP™ Technical Q&A Database 
  • 10 support incidents by e-mail 
  • Automatic notification of development tool updates 
  • Usage of RiDP Lab for application testing (1 appointment per year) 
  • Posting the member company logo at the RiDP™ public home page 
  • Usage of "RiDP Premier Member" Logo for member’s promotion purposes 
  • Posting member's solution at the RiDP online catalogue (by invitation) 
  • Being mentioned in Ricoh Group press releases, publications and advertising materials (by invitation) 
  • Participation in Ricoh Group events (by invitation)            


9) What does Premier Plus Membership offer?

Premier Plus Membership offers Developers an unprecedented level of support and training, as well as sophisticated tools to easily integrate Ricoh Group hardware and software solutions with third-party offerings. Premier Plus Membership includes the following: 

  • Industry Standard PCL, PostScript Level 3 and PJL code 
  • Standard and Proprietary Management Information Base (MIB) Specifications 
  • Refined Printing Command Stream (RPCS) Printer Driver API 
  • PC-Fax Driver API 
  • SmartDeviceMonitor - Printer Management Software - API
  • GlobalScan SDK and SDK/J 
  • Access to RiDP™ Technical Q&A Database 
  • Unlimited support incidents by e-mail and phone 
  • Automatic notification of development tool updates 
  • Usage of RiDP Lab for application testing (2 appointments per year) 
  • GlobalScan SDK classroom training or SDK/J classroom training 
  • Access to SDK beta versions 
  • Posting the member company logo at the RiDP public home page 
  • Usage of "RiDP Premier Plus Member" Logo for member’s promotion purposes 
  • Posting member's solution at the RiDP online catalogue 
  • Being mentioned in Ricoh Group press releases, publications and advertising materials (by invitation) 
  • Participation in Ricoh Group events (by invitation) 
  • Partnership opportunities with Ricoh Group local sales network (by invitation) 
  • Joint briefings for customers or prospects (by invitation)
