 Ricoh Developer Program™ (RiDP™) offers a three-tier membership model designed to meet the varying requirements of Developers.
Each of these tiers offers differentiated access to development tools, engineering support, technical resources and training, and includes a wide range of marketing benefits to help RiDP™ members market their products in the most successful way.

Basic membership is free, so by simply registering to RiDP™ Developers obtain a series of significant benefits.
Registration immediately gives Basic members access to the private area of the RiDP™ web site, where they can find a detailed description about each of the available development tools, as well as a variety of related documentation, such as white papers.
Basic membership also offers download access to the following development tools:
- PCL Command Set
- PJL Command Set
- PostScript Level 3
- Standard MIB Specification
- Private MIB Specification
Every time a new version of one of the development tools is released Developers can automatically be notified by e-mail.
Technical support is available to Basic members, through the RiDP™ Technical Q&A Database, where they can search for information or Q&As related to each development tool. Furthermore, these members are also entitled to contact our support engineers, by e-mail, in a total of 2 development incidents.
Basic Membership still offers some advertising opportunities since Developers may be invited by Ricoh to post their company’s logo at the RiDP™ web site home page and to participate in the RiDP™ Solution Online Catalogue, allowing them to publish information about their company and the developed solution(s).
For more advanced development requirements, Premier Membership provides developers with access to Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and extended technical support and resources.
Premier membership is priced at 480 Euros in the first year. Annual membership renovation prices are reduced to 450 Euros. These prices exclude VAT.

Besides being granted access to the RiDP™ Technical Q&A Database, Developers can count on e-mail support from our engineering team to help them solve development issues. Premier members are offered 10 support incidents per year.
In order to facilitate the testing of the developed solution in connection with Ricoh products, Premier members are able to visit the RiDP Test Laboratory – located in Dusseldorf, Germany - once a year.
Several marketing benefits are also available to Premier members, namely being able to place their company logo at the RiDP™ web site public home page and to use the "RiDP Premier Member" logo on their web site or communication materials.
At certain occasions, Premier members may also be invited by Ricoh to advertise their solutions at the RiDP™ Solution Online Catalogue, or to participate in the Ricoh Group press releases, publications and events.
Premier Plus is the highest level of membership and it comprises access to powerful Software Development Kits (SDKs), as well as extensive support, technical resources and training.
Premier Plus provides Developers the best resources to market their products and opens the way to plentiful commercial opportunities.
In order to become a Premier Plus member of RiDP™, companies will be required to pay an annual membership fee of 3.500 Euros for the first year, and 3.000 Euros each additional year (prices exclude VAT).

The high-level SDKs allow Developers to create applications that will run embedded in the multifunction devices or printers, or to integrate the GlobalScan™ with Document/Content Management Systems.
To support the advanced development needs of Premier Plus Members, these are allowed unlimited e-mail and phone support incidents from the RiDP™ engineering team. They may also search through the RiDP™ Technical Q&A Database or make use of technical resources such as white papers or sample codes.
Premier Plus members can be automatically updated on new tool releases and, in order to shorten the time to market the new applications, they may also be given access to beta versions of the SDKs.
Application testing in connection with Ricoh hardware or software products is facilitated through the possibility of using the RiDP™ Test Lab, located in Dusseldorf – Germany, twice a year.
Members are also entitled to attend 1 session a year of classroom training on the SDK/J or the GlobalScan SDK. Each company may enroll a maximum of 6 developers per class. Training will take place at one of Ricoh’s offices, in Germany (Dusseldorf).
It is Ricoh’s objective to help its Premier Plus members achieve not only an efficient development cycle but also a successful market launch of their products. That is why a wide range of marketing resources are available to our Premier Plus members.
Included are:
- Posting the member company logo at the RiDP™ public home page
- Advertising the member's solutions (developed through RiDP) at the RiDP™ Online Catalogue
- Using the "RiDP™ Premier Plus Member" Logo for promotional activities
Premier Plus members may also be invited to participate in Ricoh Group press-releases, publications and advertising materials, as well as to attend Ricoh events (e.g. exhibitions).
Moreover, the commercial opportunities presented to Premier Plus members are notable: when in possession of a product of strategic interest to Ricoh, these may be able to engage in partnerships with the Ricoh Group local sales network in several countries of Europe, Middle East and Africa. At times, Premier Plus members may also be invited to participate in joint briefings for existing customers or prospects, profiting from numerous marketing opportunities.
